Thank you so much. I love the fact that your comments are always directing us back to Jesus, the One who is behind all that we do--whether facilitators, advocates, sponsors, office staff or administrators. It's so much bigger than we can imagine, and it's all about Jesus reaching out to rescue these children from poverty. He's heard their cries and we've responded to His voice to help them by His Spirit.

"I feel it has all been God’s purpose, so I only ask the Lord to use me. The truth is that I didn’t choose to be here, the Lord did, and I love it!"

We all need to have this attitude.

¡Adelante Lilliam! God is with you and he will support your ministry between the children in Nicaragua. Be a Facilitator not is an easy job, but when you think in the thousands of lives and generations that you will impact you can understand that you are investing your life leaving an indelible mark.

"I believe my responsibility is to help churches become self-sustaining. I don’t want children to be sponsored the rest of their lives. I want a generation that can support themselves and sponsor other children."

Yes! This is one of the things that sets Compassion apart from relief organizations. Compassion is not content to sustain children in their poverty, but to release them from it, in Jesus' name! I read that, recently, possibly here, but I don't remember who said it, or even if it's a direct quote. But I love it!

Thanks to your work Lilliam I am able to sponsor Osmari in Nicaragua!!!

But in the midst of all the work that this position demands, there is something important. The Lord says “I am with you, I won’t leave you, not forsake you.”

I believe these words. They encourage me, and I say “Thank you, Lord, because with your help the work is easier.” Sometimes I wish the day would have more hours to go on and on and on, but sadly it only has 24 hours.

I need to continue to trust the Lord like Lilliam and realize our God is amazingly powerful and He is with us.
