Hi Becky. I found your website when I was looking up the definition of compassion. After I have read what you have posted I sure would like to know what steps you took to get to where you are at if you don't mind me asking. I would love to spend time helping others with my gift of empathy, and I have compassion for others. I love people! Thanks Becky! keep up the work of the Lord. God bless

Becky, I anticipate being at every conference Compassion sets up, unless Providencially hindered! :o) Or, in the case of the International Conference in October, I'll be there if I'm eligible, or close enough to be invited in place of someone who inexplicably does not want to go(!) or is unable.

Were you around for the Leadership Conference, last month? It seems as though I might have seen you in the hallway, at some point.

I see that you visited my blog. Thank you! Feel free to visit again, to read everything I've posted related to Compassion, and/or to look at my various photo albums--especially the one containing pic's of my sponsored girls, sponsors tours and conferences.

Hi Vicki-

Thanks! As I was writing this, I was thinking that our Advocates share the same job description.

Yes, I could do without all the snow. Thankfully, though, the summer is coming!

Perhaps I'll see you at the next conference?

Hello, Becky,

I think I met you, sort of, at the Advocates...Conference in August.

I confess to being envious of those of you who work at the GMC, with the opportunities to worship together, to hear speakers...to hear Wess more often. Then I hear or see news reports of your winter weather, and thank God I'm where I am!

Anyway, I love this post of yours. I have thought of it, a few times, in the context of Compassion's ministry. It really is every Christian's job description, isn't it? We talk about God's "mandate for the poor," and certainly scripture is full of applicable references.

By the way, I also love Isaiah 58!

God bless you and all the staff. You make possible all that we do, out across the land.
