He Go Go

african songs for children Our sponsored children are tremendously talented!

While finishing our ministry’s Africa Regional Conference, we threw a big celebration dinner. Staff from nine different countries came together to dance and celebrate all that the Lord had done that week and all that He will do in the future.

The highlight of the dinner was a performance from some of Kenya’s most talented child sponsorship program beneficiaries. Not every child may have the skills or desire to be in the Leadership Development Program, but they do have talents of singing or dancing.

These artistic kids not only sang and danced, but created the t-shirts they’re wearing!

Today, take a minute to relax and learn a new worship song with these children. Unfortunately, this video isn’t of the highest quality (I can’t believe I briefly stuck my thumb over the screen around :30… good thing I’m not a videographer by trade!), but you’ll enjoy watching them.

Here are the lyrics to this popular children’s song in Kenya:

HE GO GO by Pastor Pat King

He go go butter me bread, He go go sugar me tea, He go go cloth my Body, He go go shelter my head.
If he did it yesterday he will do it today oh, if he does it today oh, He will do it tomorrow
He go go butter me bread, He go go sugar me tea, He go go cloth my Body, He go go shelter my head.
If he favor yesterday he will favor today oh, If he favor today oh, He will favor tomorrow,
He go go butter me bread, He go go sugar me tea…

Thank God for the gifts and faithfulness He offers each of us!

That’s great! Love the sound, the enthusiasm, the smiles, and the faith! (Your thumb wasn’t there that long!)

How lovely! I think that some cultures are born to dance and sing! It’s even more special when they’re praising God doing it!! I love seeing young people praising God! Thanks for this video clip. It was a treat.
