Wat do u think would have been our fate if Christ had not resurrected? Absolutely no hope! No future! We would have been the most miserable! But thank God that through the death and resurrection of Christ, we've been redeemed and we've been exalted and seated with Christ in high places far above all rulers and principalities.....God truly loves us....He loves us just so much...Cuz we did nothing to deserve such love...T'was just grace...

I want to emphasize the FOUR component ACTIONS of the Gospel:

  1. That Christ Died for our sins

  2. That He was Buried

  3. That He was Raised again in the flesh ( He appeared to many in the flesh as proof of His bodily resurrection).

  4. That He Ascended into Heaven ( He appeared to Paul and He appears to us in the Spirit ).

When we are baptized we illustrate (preach) this Gospel. Going out into the water illustrates death, going under the water illustrates burial, coming back above water illustrates resurrection and coming up out of the water illustrates ascention. At Christ's baptism we are told that the Spirit of God descended on Him (Mt.3:16). When we are baptized the Spirit of Christ descends on us (He ascended so that His Spirit might descend Jn.16:7). So we have established the great hope of those who put their faith in Christ: THAT ALTHOUGH WE MAY DIE THERE WILL ONE DAY BE A BODILY RESURRECTION OF THOSE IN CHRIST.

Hallelujah!!!

Galations 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body I live by faith in the Son of God. Who loved me and gave himself for me."
