I know that we are trying to get people to donate on the 26th, but since the donations are measured between 3pm -3pm every day, we could have sponsors actually donating into the counts for different days. Would it be posible to say taht we should all donate on the evening of the 26th? That way all the donations would be counted in the same day.

In response to the twitter feed (I don’t have twitter to tweet something), I’d recommend that you pick a particular day to encourage all people to donate, say in 1 week to give time to spread the word as much as possible and then ask for people who can only make 1-2 donations this month to focus on donating that particular day. I’m blessed that I’ve been able to donate more than that, but I know many cannot.

Thanks for the information. As you can only tip in $1 increments, I will simply continue adding $1 to my donations.

I’m not sure if most people know, but you can make a donation EACH day (3PM-3PM EST) that counts towards the monthly challenge total! I’m proud to support an organization where the CEO has donated enough to be on the individual donor list!!

@Becky – Yes. That’s the tip.

The way it works is if you give $10, $.48 goes to Network for Good. (I rounded up from $.475)

If you make a $.48 tip, you’ve paid $10.48 and $10 goes to Compassion.

Chris, I saw the comment about adding money to the Network for Good to cover the 4.75% processing fee. Is that their tip they ask for people to donate?

@Linda Baier – The Causes folks said you should check your country’s tax laws, but most likely the answer is that the donation wouldn’t be tax deductible for you.

We made a good start yesterday, but we are falling behind today. Don’t forget you can invite people to the challenge using all sorts of different means. “Use all the technology and communication methods you have at your disposal (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, text, phone, e-mail, word of mouth, etc.)”
I printed off the above challenge information and have posted it at my gym, I also used it in an email to all my address book in outlook. I’m not very up to date on all the new technology out there but I am sure there are tonnes of folks who are that can access so many more contacts.
