Since correspondence monitors write for 3 of my children I’m only sharing the letters that were written by my 2 children who write their own letters.
My oldest child, age 14, wrote, ” Dear Sponsor Kenneth….., please pray for me and my family! Hugs from……”
My 9 year old child wrote, “Please send more pictures.” In the same letter he stated that he misses me and hopes that someday we could meet again.
Sorry, but I have to include this from my youngest child who is 7. The correspondence monitor stated that after my youngest received a birthday card and stickers from me, he was very happy and he opened with a beautiful smile. I wish I had been in Brazil to see his smile.

Diana: “Last year I went to India for open heart surgery but now I feel okay. I want you to pray for me and I think you to choose me to be your child.”

Phanice: “Mungu akubariki. (A Swahili word meaning God bless you).”

Hannah: “Share with me my favorite verse: John 3:16. May God bless you.”

Joseph wrote 2 letters on the same day. #1: “Did you pray for me and my family? Did you pray for my country? Did you pray for my friends and my neighbors?

Joseph #2: “And may He guide and protect you with your family, friends, and your neighbors always. From your loving son.”

“My father is a preacher. He has no time. The ministry occupies his entire time.”

Earlier in the letter, he said this: “Did the earth quake in your area? The tremor struck our area. Nothing wrong happened to us. God atones for our life. We aren’t better than those who died in Port-au-Prince. It’s God’s plan for our life. When the tremor struck, I had three brothers in Port-au-Prince. God watched over them. My school isn’t doing well cause of the earthquake…”

I’d be curious to know what other statements are coming out of the letters from Haiti now.
