We’re developing a kids’ magazine designed to educate 8-to-12-year-olds and develop their hearts of Compassion.
This free publication will teach kids about poverty and other cultures, and encourage them to engage with children in need.
They will enjoy photos showing what a day is like for kids in other cultures, tips for writing to their families’ sponsored children, recipes, games from other countries, and more.
They will also have opportunities to contribute to the magazine by submitting their own pictures and stories.
If this sounds like something for you and your kids, please let us know. Send an email to [email protected] with your contact information.
We need to hear from you soon, because we hope to launch our first issue in January!

I would love that! My girls would truly enjoy something like this to read or even share with their class!
Absolutely! I homeschool and my husband is a pastor so we would be interested from both angles.
Janet
I’d be interested! I am a teacher, and always looking for resources that I can share with students.
What a great idea. I very excited to recieve the first issue. Will it be published four times a year?
@ Amy Wallace,
Yes, at this time. But our friends at Compassion Canada are watching our efforts and everyone’s responses closely.
Yes! My family would definitely love this–excellent idea.
I echo what Kees says…it would be awesome for Children’s ministry….
YES! I think this is a great idea.
Yes, I’m very interested for the children in my church.
We sponsor three children through Compassion, and we have three kids who would LOVE LOVE LOVE something like this. I’ve sent you an email!
Would this just be distributed in the US? I don’t have any kids, but I’m sure the kids in my church up here in Canada would love it.
This is a great idea. I am always inspired by stories I hear about young people making a difference by helping others. We will look forward to it!
I think it is a great idea, they didn’t have that when I was younger I just would see the pictures from letters. Hindsight is 20/20 I’ve heard but since I didn’t visit all over the world when I was younger I can use it as an excuse to make up for lost time!!!!! And I really love what Compassion is doing! I just need to keep praying so I can get to see it and be a part of it in Tanzania, Indonesia, and hopefully Peru in the near future! Yay! But to answer the blogs question I believe the only way to know is to go! I think the magazine is a great way to encourage that. I would never have known there are fish that massage your feet by eating the dead skin off your feet if I wouldn’t have visited the boys I sponsor in the Philippines. I bet Adam used them in the Garden of Eden. He probably let those little shrimp clean his teeth. I do not know for sure but I would have tried to outrun the cheetahs.
Chris,
Oh wow- I didn’t! Thank you!
I would like to know more about the magazine
@ Tiffany,
Do you know about Quest for Compassion? It’s our Web site for kids ages 6 to 10.
Wow-that would be amazing! My kids are slightly younger than that but I believe you can never start too early in teaching them about such things! 🙂
Thank you for all your efforts. This is something our family would definitely use!!
