Compassion magazine We’re developing a kids’ magazine designed to educate 8-to-12-year-olds and develop their hearts of Compassion.

This free publication will teach kids about poverty and other cultures, and encourage them to engage with children in need.

They will enjoy photos showing what a day is like for kids in other cultures, tips for writing to their families’ sponsored children, recipes, games from other countries, and more.

They will also have opportunities to contribute to the magazine by submitting their own pictures and stories.

If this sounds like something for you and your kids, please let us know. Send an email to with your contact information.

We need to hear from you soon, because we hope to launch our first issue in January!

Wow-that would be amazing! My kids are slightly younger than that but I believe you can never start too early in teaching them about such things! :)

    @ Tiffany,

Do you know about Quest for Compassion? It’s our Web site for kids ages 6 to 10.

I think it is a great idea, they didn’t have that when I was younger I just would see the pictures from letters. Hindsight is 20/20 I’ve heard but since I didn’t visit all over the world when I was younger I can use it as an excuse to make up for lost time!!!!! And I really love what Compassion is doing! I just need to keep praying so I can get to see it and be a part of it in Tanzania, Indonesia, and hopefully Peru in the near future! Yay! But to answer the blogs question I believe the only way to know is to go! I think the magazine is a great way to encourage that. I would never have known there are fish that massage your feet by eating the dead skin off your feet if I wouldn’t have visited the boys I sponsor in the Philippines. I bet Adam used them in the Garden of Eden. He probably let those little shrimp clean his teeth. I do not know for sure but I would have tried to outrun the cheetahs.

This is a great idea. I am always inspired by stories I hear about young people making a difference by helping others. We will look forward to it!

Would this just be distributed in the US? I don’t have any kids, but I’m sure the kids in my church up here in Canada would love it.
