Valeri Bure Skates for Compassion Canada on CBC’s “Battle of the Blades”

Hey Compassion blog readers — and especially you, Canadian readers.
By now you may be aware of the CBC show Battle of the Blades, which partners former NHL players with professional figure skaters to compete to win a contribution for their favorite charity.
But did you know that Compassion has been named one of the charities being supported in this year’s competition?
That’s right, NHL great Valeri Bure (of the Calgary Flames), is competing this year — and has named Compassion Canada as his charity!
Want to see him (and the children we serve) win big? Here’s how you can help:
- Watch Battle of the Blades on CBC every week. Check CBC [3] or your local listings for airtimes.
- If you think their performance is the best, vote for Valeri and his partner by e-mail, text or phone.
- And if you feel led, give to Compassion Canada’s Child Survival Program and help a mother and her baby discover a life of promise and purpose in Jesus Christ.
