So far, looks good. The letter writing will be great when you can get it on here. One thing that would be very helpful is a way to pay for the sponsorships that we already have.

I’d love to be able to pull up my own account here and show people my sponsored kids. It would also be great to check recent giving history, etc.

Agree with above comments…I was hoping to be able to see my existing account info. The appitself looks sharp! Great job :-)

Absolutely, this should show current sponsorships. It’s hard to believe this will pull in new people by itself better than the Website. So the app should target the maintenance of current sponsors and their empowering to bring others in.

Need to be able to reopen in Safari. I followed a link to “Become a Child Advocate”, but the page was too wide for the screen. Pinch-zoom and page rotation didn’t work either.

    Still, a great start!

Difficult to get back to the main page (Blog Donate etc) from inside the Blog. Would expect the home menu dropdown to do that, but it doesn’t.

I wish the app had a way to log in. I’m already a sponsor and would like to be able to do the same things on my phone as I can frm a computer

I second the other comments about wanting to see my account- particularly the pictures and info on our current sponsored & correspondence children. Often sharing about them is the most compelling way to show people the impact of sponsorship!

Hi! App is a great start but I do agree with a lot of the above comments. It’s not very helpful for current sponsors. I would love to be able to write to my sponsor child and upload photos for my sponsor child on here. Even make additional donations for birthdays and holidays.

Until it provides information regarding my account, I don’t see a need to download it. But I’m exciting to see Compassion exploring the iPhone/iPad app world.

Yup, I definitely want to see my own sponsored kids up there, so maybe I could send them pictures or messages directly from my phone. I don’t want to “shop” for sponsored kids on my phone.

FAIL — Uninstalled. Let us know when the app actually serves the sponsor… Differentiate it from the standard web access. We all have browsers and bookmarks, what does this app do for us? Give us stuff we can’t get elsewhere!

    1. Show us our child’s photos.
    2. Give us monthly updates at a project level. Let us know what needs the project has.
    3. Let us read and share our children’s letters.
    4. Let us write to our children.
    5. Give us easy access to country updates, and needs that we can address.
    6. Give us messaging access to our LDP kids as well as access to their pictures, their letters. Let us write letters using the app.

It seems as though there was a decision to off an app without thinking it through. Yes, it’s a “pretty” app, but useful? Not really.

Does it notify me if my address is marked undeliverable (no child letters, statements, etc), my email address is undeliverable, my phone number is missing (so I can be called in case of important account issues), my sponsorship is behind (maybe an expired credit card), my child’s birthday is coming soon?

Hi Tiffany, we don’t have an app for Android yet, but we do plan to have one and release it along with the next version of our iPhone app. Thank you! – Darren

Just thought you might like to know that facebook has blocked “like” of this link/page because someone has reported it as abusive. I have flagged up to FB that I can see no way how this could possibly be seen as “abusive”

Are you going to have an app for Android soon? It seems like a great idea, especially for the blog and quick updates but I am not able to find it in the Android Market.

Paige -Your printables are so adolabre. I really want to learn how to make them. Is it hard? Is there somewhere you can tell me to go to learn how to do it or can you tell me? Thanks for making such cute stuff.Erin
