Christmas is that time of year when the news media loves to write about the great things you all are doing as sponsors and donors. A recent OC Register article talks about one donor in Southern California who has put a new “spin” on God’s command to be charitable to the poor and needy. He’s driving clunkers and giving what would be a monthly car payment to Compassion. He’s also encouraging others to do the same.
Read the story for yourself, and let me know if you are aware of anyone – maybe even yourself – who has come up with creative ways to give to those who are in need.

I’m doing a promotion myself with webdesign. All of the proceeds till the end of the month will go towards sponsorships for the children that I sponsor.

What an inventive and aweseome way to help the kids!
Craig is sweet!!!
He has some great ideas!!!
Ooops,
I mean Mike.
Sorry Mike!
When the President gave out tax refunds to help the economy, he didn’t specify WHICH COUNTRY’S economy
So I gave my refund to my sponsor child and her family in Ethiopia. And if we get another refund I will do the same thing!

I read the article and this man is a genius..Why drive a brand new car when a perfectly good old car will work? I drive an old 1992 Honda Civic..Most people don’t NEED a brand new car-they just want it.
Imagine how much money he saves on insurence too!
I am in middle school so instead of asking for gifts for my birthday I ask people to give money for my sponosred child in India.
That is really cool! You are inspiring those who would give gifts and at the same time blessing your sponsored child!
Hope you have a happy birthday (whenever it is)
