I am glad to see that Ann is going on this trip. Her writing stirs my heart and always encourages me in my relationship with my Compassion kids.

Can’t wait to hear about the trip! I have a new correspondent child in Ecuador so I am looking forward to learning more about him and the country he is from!

Is there any way that one of the team could take a picture od Diego Armando Tumbaco Arana who attends the Cuba Student Center in Southwestern Manta and send it to me? I’d love to have a picture of him other than just the one that was in my sponsor packet. I wish I could afford to go to see him personally.

Hey Betty! At this point the bloggers aren’t going to that center but will pass your request on in case plans change.

Hello Jacquie, Can you tell us how they go about selecting which center they will visit when making plans to visit a particular country? Is it based on ‘who’ signs up for the trip?

Hi Bonny! Our country offices determine which development centers we visit on trips like this. Some of the factors they consider are — how easy it is to access the child development center or, has the center been visited before? There is a lot of work involved with hosting visitors so our country offices take that into consideration as well. Great question! Thanks for asking. -Jacquie

Hi Jacquie, Could you share with us the project numbers that are going to be visited? Then we could make extra sure to watch if they are going to the projects of any of “our” children. Thanks!

Sure! Unless something changes the plan is to visit EC-478 on Tuesday, EC-431 on Wednesday , EC-270 on Thursday and EC-273 on Friday.
