Hmmm, I think we should all be in prayer for Matthew Parris. It would appear that he is no more that a whisper away from learning about the God of the Universe. May the Lord reveal Himselfs to Mr.Parris’ softening heart.

My lead pastor really likes Compassion. However, he has not yet recognized the overall transformational power of this ministry. He recognizes that individuals are transformed, probably not that families are transformed, and he definitely does not see it as transforming communities. I think what the writer of this article has observed and cannot deny is that greater, broader, deeper transformation, even, than “just” in the children, themselves.

Our church (Grace Community Church in Winchester, VA) is taking a missions trip to Malawi in one week…I haven’t heard about Malawi other than our church…this is very encouraging!
