Happy birthday to us!
Happy birthday to us!
Happy birthday to the Compassion blog!
Happy birthday to us!

Photo by Elizabeth Karanja – At the Mathare Child Development Center in Kenya, birthday parties for sponsored children are celebrated bi-monthly. The birthday children cut cakes and share with the other children. They also carry a piece home for their guardians. The celebrations play an important role in their social development.
Thanks for making our first birthday possible! Do you have any ideas about what our second year should look like?

Chris,
It’s really difficult to read on my mobile browser-it’s probably because of the heavy graphics and pictures. I can’t comment on the blog either..
I use a normal phone-no smart phone like the blackberry or Iphone..

The Compassion blog has been such a blessing to me. I feel more connected to this organization than ever. And it’s been so great to “meet” and blog with other Compassion sponsors.
Ultimately, the blog reinforced for me everything I always thought about Compassion — that it is a dynamic, forward-thinking organization filled with wonderful people doing wonderful things for children.
Kudos to Chris G. and the web team for the amazing job they’ve done developing this blog.

Absolutely agree with all the above comments. A daily “must read”. When feeling discouraged about the situation of these children, or when interest wanes as it sometimes does, this blog brings me back to where I want to be. Also, the information is so helpful in educating. Please continue all the good work!
