I just listened to it on Youtube!!! However I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Christian Rap!!! I am listening to “Cry no More” by Holy Culture!!!” Man I can’t get enough of it!!! It speak to me like when the fine gentleman said, “If you haven’t visited your sponsor child go rob a bank and visit!!!” I need to hear that!!!!!!!!! I am glad he said it!!! The days are evil. I need to do good!!! But I am thankful God pre-destined good deed for me so that I might walk in them!!! I believe Compassion is for that purpose and the Sponsor Tours!!! I got to hear Peter Mayer, Jimmy Buffet’s lead guitarest for 20 years and still his lead guitarist!!! Up in Denver at a church and Compassion event!!! Man was he AMAZING!!! I love his song “Love Born A Knew” on his “Stars and Promises” album. It was fascinating to watch him play the guitar. He was the son of missionary parents in India.

I too should have pulled over while I sobbed through this song! I am currently praying this song over a two year old boy. We are declaring that He Reigns over the tumors, over the cancer, over the ‘word’ of the doctors. God’s word is a better word, a stronger word, a blessed word! And all the powers of darkness can’t drown out a single word! Halleluja!

Great blog and great song! Our Jesus is so good to us! I think of my sponsered african childs father making only 8 dollars a month..such poverty but tht will change for the better.Thanx God for Compassion!

Thanks for reminding me of this song! I had to do a quick lookup on youtube to see how it went again. I have it on my iPod and will listen to it when I run tomorrow! Also, I’ll have to make a special request now at my church … I can’t believe I’ve never heard it played there before!

Breaks my heart to hear about babies dying of starvation like those in West Timor, but I always look at Compassion and reflect on those little ones that are saved every day thanks to our ministries efforts and the grace of God.
We might lose hope gazing at the numbers of children that are lost, but stop and think of how many are saved: both spiritually and physically this side of heaven.

Amen. That is one of my favorite songs as well. I have had a chance to hear the amazon rains and the african songs on missions trips. I pray that God will continue to reveal His heart to you.

Amber, whenever we sing that song in church, I get choked up, too. I’m standing in a church in Tanzania (where I’ve never actually been), singing and watching my Tausi singing, swaying, or however she worships in song. And I get goosebumps, knowing that “all the powers of darkness” get really mad, when they “can’t drown out a single word.” Praise God!
