How about Philippines independence day??? June 12, 1898.

Christmas is when JESUS our Savior was born and he saved us from the world and set us free from sin and the world!!! Independent from sin and the world and dependent on Him!!! So I thought since we would be travelling to the Philippines during their independence day that could account for Christmas b/c of the independence motif in both!!! If not that is fine!!! But for indepence day in the Philippines I will dunk a basketball for Angelo on a 10ft rim with 2 hands!!! So he will be encouraged not to give up on his dream to become a basketball player!!! That is what I will do

It would be an Ethiopian Christmas and I’d probably over spoil the children and their familes.We’d go to church,hear Christmas stories and songs and I’d make sure there was enough food for them to eat for weeks if possible!!

If I could spend Christmas with my sponsored children I would tell them how much I love them. Of course I would have a big hug for all 3 of them. I’d tell them God loves them,too. It would be a dream come true to see them face to face.

Being with my child would be the biggest Christmas gift, I had ever gotten. (Of course, not counting Christ Himself coming to earth, which is H-U-G-E)

Spending Christmas with my 3 sponsored children would be the ultimate gift. I would spend my time with them enjoying the special day and making it my goal for them to know how truly important and amazing each of them are in their own unique way. I would talk about their dreams and how each are truly reachable.

I would probably be very tearful at first seeing as how we have so much in our country, and then I would just love her and play with her so that my young children would see that they will be family on the other side of heaven.

Like Chuck Guth wrote above, I would love to spend Christmas with both the children we sponsor in Honduras. It would be the most unforgettable celebration of Jesus’ birth, an experience and a gift in and of itself.

I’d want to see how they celebrate Christmas, share how we celebrate Christmas, and get to see what their day to day life is like. I would hope to be able to help the community, I have been saving funds to build a well in one of their villages, they need safe drinking water. The gift of Living Water.

In addition to doing a ton of spiritual things, I would probably do all the things Compassion would rather have us not do (in regards to over-spoiling the children with an abundance of gifts for them and their family).
