Taking Jesus’ name out of Compassion’s logo is not a possibility, because we have Him to thank for the amazing work being done in our world!

And this is the #1 reason why I love Compassion – your transparency and your unwillingness to compromise!

This is a great interview and truly, wonderful news! Especially the part about Compassion’s commitment not to take “Jesus” out of our tagline or out of our ministry…I would guess that Jesus has been taken out of many of these ministries long before the name is removed. Congratulations to child #1 million and to his bright future!

Oops — that one millioneth child has a name — “Fellow!” Congratulations, Sweet Fellow!

This is awesome. That is also the reason, that I sponsor with Compassion. It’s all about Jesus. I love it.
BTW, I find it to be really exciting to think that the 1,000,000th child is sponsored out of the country where it all began into our very last country (as to this date)

What a wonderful interview! This is why we sponsor 2 children with Compassion. After looking at other Christian sponsor programs and reading that you can’t share Jesus’ name with your sponsored child, I thought how sad. I was happy to see that Compassion is committed to sharing the Love of God in Jesus name.

Thank you, Compassion, for keeping Jesus central to your mission! As others have mentioned, this is why I chose Compassion over other sponsorship programs.

Mark, you did such a great job articulating the heart of Compassion! I am so proud to be a contributor to this organization. I was also impressed with the news reporter here. She asked some great questions and really seemed to have done her research. Great interview!

Compassion’s focus on Jesus Christ being the key is the reason I have and will continue to sponsor children through Compassion! Please don’t ever consider weakening on that stand!

This is truly awesome. That is the very reason that we sponsored with Compassion. It’s all about Jesus isn’t it. I am so thankful to be able to share my faith in Jesus and to write to the children how much Jesus loves them. If we couldn’t …. please don’t ever consider changing. God Will Bless Compassion for honoring His name.We are blessed to be apart of this awesome ministry. Thank you for not changing your stand.

2 Timothy 2:11-13
Here is a trust worthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
if we are faithfulless,
he will remain faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.
We believe that God will bless Compassion more than ever and maybe we will see two million sponsored child.
Way to go Compassion!!

Your keeping “In Jesus Name”…. is why I am choosing this organization to sponsor a child. He is the reason I do this and I want Him to get all the Honor and Glory.

KUDOS Compassion International! Thank you for continuing to lift up Jesus’ name and giving Him the glory. Doing so is by far the more important part of what you do.
It is time we picked up another child with your great ministry that addresses children’s needs now, and for eternity.

acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
I am a compassion recipient from Philippines. lets give back all the glory and honor in His name “Jesus” for His word says in Colossians 3:17 “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
God bless Compassion International!!

Meant to reply to this sooner but haven’t. If Compassion took Christ out of its name, I think we would loose a big part of our identity. I sponsor through a couple of other organizations – one a local one set up by a friend and one a larger,well-known one. With the one set up by my friend, I am allowed to, and encouraged to share about Jesus, as it is with Compassion. With the larger one, we are not supposed to unless our sponsor children being it up. As my children age out of the program, I will slowly wind down my sponsorships, as I prefer to support the programs that allow me to share my faith, as Compassion and JNFC allow me to do.
I sponsor with Compassion because of their dedication to releasing children from poverty in Jesus name and their unwillingness to remove the focus from Jesus. I find I can share more passionately about Compassion because of the work they do in Christ’s name. I am so glad that Compassion will not change their identity to fit in with secular culture. Bravo to Compassion for standing in the gap and keeping Christ at the centre of what they do, in a culture that all to often wants to push him to the edge or out of the picture completely.
