Meredith - we have had two compassion children and have seen our first one graduate from highschool a couple of years ago and have a 15 year old boy named Alex from Uganda right now. We've been a part of Compassion for many years but just recently its really been gripping me how vital and world-changing the ministry of Compassion is. You know there's something so powerful about committing to one individual over the course of their childhood seeing that they get food, medical care and that they are being taught about Jesus and what it means to follow Him. What you are doing is so right on with what God has been stirring in my heart: Market this to as many people as possible. You are right on about our increased global awareness and with that awareness comes responsibility and obedience to Christ and loving our neighbor. I want to use my influence and my platform to get people on board with the heartbeat of Compassion: snatching kids away from the enemy and delivering them into the arms of Jesus one kid at a time.

Meredith- So privileged to call you my "God-Child" as this truly has so many meanings. I feel so blessed to see how our Lord has captured your heart and that you are such an amazing child of the King. Whatever you do, it will be to His glory. Love you as always, Aunt Sandy

I can't wait to see how God answers your prayers -- brace yourself, because He will! The brokeness always comes with so much blessing and intimacy (with Him) that it is almost more than I can handle. I used to say, "Stop, Lord, I can't handle any more blessings from you!" but now I've learned to say "Bring it on, bring it on and rain [or perhaps "reign"] upon me."

You wrote, <i>"I pray for myself that the Lord would break my heart for what breaks His."</i>

Well it's my testimony that He broke my heart in this fashion...And I don't remember ever making that prayer.

All that is to say I hope you have a good cardiologist (I recommend you use mine: Jesus Christ, MD).

Meredith,

I'm so excited to hear about what you are doing with Compassion. Ryan just got back last week from a trip with Compassion to the Dominican Republic as a videographer/photographer and he's been mentioning some of the same feelings and ideas. Can't wait to hear more!

much love, anne

Mere,

you are an amazing, articulate and compassionate young woman who certainly belongs where you are. I am so proud to know you as an adult and to have had the privilege of watching you bloom into the beautiful Godly woman you are. I can't wait to see what God does with you next.

Love you so much, Teresa
