Regarding the inverted-triangle model of leadership, this is becoming an accepted model in business too! In the second semester of 2009, I was in a first-year Management course at a secular university in New Zealand, where this was taught from a widely-used and respected text published by Wiley Australia. I was surprised and delighted by this emphasis, though I guess it's possible some of my classmates might have been more skeptical of the text's approach.

I was thinking of the verse you shared right before I read the blog but you added more to it, which is good. I thought that we do have an all-knowing superior however in God. Congratulations on your internship!!!!!

Ally,
Thank you for sharing your experiences and learning opportunities while at Compassion as an intern this summer. It just continues to prove that Christ’s example to us is applicable in all areas of our lives. I loved your story and will be praying for you as you take these experiences with you back to your mission field; school, work, home, another country or a different continent: where ever God places you in His Kingdom work ~ many blessings.
