		<description>I honestly don&#039;t know if my mom ever went without food so that my sister and I could eat; I know she sacrificed in many ways, and I would not be surprised to learn that she had, indeed, gone without in order to feed us.

I think there&#039;s nothing like either living with poverty, or seeing it up close and personal, on its own turf, to give us a sense--even a little hint--of what our sponsored children live with.</description>
