Count Your Blessings

November is the time of year when many people contemplate the blessings they have in life. And it is no wonder. Since 1863 in the United States, we have had a national holiday set aside to give thanks for God’s blessings in our lives.

Many people spend Thanksgiving day with family and friends, eating a big feast and watching football games. While sharing about all the food at your big Thanksgiving feast would be insensitive to your sponsored children, this month gives us an opportunity to share about the history of Thanksgiving, as well as some of the traditions you have in your family.

And what a great time of year to share about gratefulness!

I’m ecstatic that I just sent our first email (with pictures!!!)to our boy, Hector! This is going to ensure that we will be writing more often. Of course, the translators might be sick of us writing but that’s a better problem then not writing at all! Thank you for adding this to your features!

We are so glad you enjoy writing online! Your encouragement is giving Hector such hope for his future, reminding him that you are fighting for him, that you believe in him, and that he can do anything! Thank you :)! Have a blast bombarding him with letters!

Lyle, I sincerely apologize for the frustration with the very lengthy amount of time that it takes for letters to be delivered in the mail. Please know that we are aware that this is unacceptable. We are actually working hard to bring the emailed letter option to our supporters very soon (in the next few months). Please stay tuned as we roll this out. In the mean time, Merry Christmas to you over in Laos!

Susan, I am very excited to hear about the new email option that is coming! Thank you and all your coworkers for all your dedication and love in the work you are doing for the Lord. Our children have had and are having such an incredible impact on us, and we pray we are blessing them as well. Thank you again! Sincerely, in Christ, Veronica

I am having no problem writing letters to my sponsored child. What I AM having a problem with is scheduling mailings for sufficient lead time for timely delivery in Ecuador! I need to tear apart a calendar and rearrange the months so I have no excuse if my Compassion Calendar says it’s December it will be the 10th month in my “year”. Time to mail Christmas gift package!
