Hi Paul – thank you for continuing to share your story with us. I am so glad that Compassion was there for you and that you were raised in a Godly home. Hearing stories like yours really show the importance of Compassion’s work. yesterday our pastor shared from an often-forgotten passage in 1 Chronicles, Chapter 11 about Beniaiah and his three great deeds and how God uses adversity in our lives to make us stronger. He takes the painful, hurtful things and builds on them – he knows and he builds.

Stories like yours are such a powerful reminder of the importance of Compassion and of reaching out to children in Jesus’ name. Thank you for sharing with us!

Yet another reason I love Compassion is it spurrs me to do the impossible mainly visit my sponsor kids. I start running around asking people what do you want from the Philippines??? And they may already know I hope to go but I ask them boldly to continue to encourage myself in my hopes to go. I never would have gone to Nicaragua if without Compassion or the Philippines either.
