Fidel had a vision for his community, a poor fishing village in Ghana. Kpone didn’t have a library or computer center and Fidel understood that in today’s world, not to have computer literacy is a great disadvantage.

This is a great opportunity for those young people. Praise God for His provision.
I would like information on the technical aspects of this project and how they are able to get equipment and maintain it.
Also is there opportunities for tech minded missionaries to go and help set up projects like this at other fields? Thanks
What a wonderful venture for the children, steps far beyond what our monthly contributions could make on their own. Our latest letter from our beloved Grace included a picture of a computer, I’ll be praying that she is included in this project but what info I have she is from a farming community. I will ask the question that must be on several minds, how would we know if this includes our sponsored children and if it doesn’t, what do we need to do to encourage it? May God Bless and keep you Grace, We love you and we pray for this opportunity for you!
How can i find out about my sponsored children’s project if they have compute program ? I am so touched about this !!!
Actually Anh, if you call our contact center at 800-336-7676 they can check with our country office to determine if your child’s development center has a computer program in place.
Hi Anh! Unfortunately we don’t keep files of this kind of information for each development center. This is a great question though to ask your sponsored child the next time you write them. 🙂
wait what? You don’t know the progress of each center? We should ask our child about the developments of their center? Did I understand you correctly?
We don’t have immediate access to the information here in Colorado Springs; however, representatives in our contact center can send requests to our country offices for the answers to questions like this.
What an amazing tool for these children to have access to…as mentioned in the video, not only the Compassion children, but children in the whole community!
Could not agree more. The ability to use computers will soon be a requirement for anyone who wants to make money . Computer literacy is a great way to give these kids the tools to succeed in life.

I was so glad to see Terri’s comments because I was moved to tears as well. I have a child in Ghana and I think of what this could mean for him. Most of all, I was so touched seeing these amazing, devoted project and country staff and their desire to lift these children out of poverty by developing their skills and reaching the community through the church in Jesus’ name. Very inspiring…this made my day!!
This video brought tears to my eyes, to see the vision and passion and commitment of the church leaders and project workers in this community. It is encouraging to know that there are such strong believers around the world that we can come alongside of in bringing God’s love to the least of these. God bless this project and all the people involved!
