Hey! Look what I’ve done. I made poverty history. Woo hoo!
All I did was visit compassion.com to sponsor a child and then this happened.

Great video! I sent it to a number of my friends.

It would be wonderful if this could only be true!

Oh, this is so far beyond way cool!! And JoAnn did a great job as the excited woman in the crowd!
Can you clarify for me, tho’: Can this be personalized without actually sponsoring another child? We will certainly do that, in the future, but by that time, this video will be history.

Great idea! They need to fix a few bugs though… I saw “undefined” in a few places where there should’ve been a name.

@Brady – Undefined isn’t really a bug, it’s more of a reptile. I’m a chameleon. The code is trying to figure out who I am in that moment, but it’s only code, ya know? It’s not up to the task.
The undefined bug is a pesky critter. I brought it to the developers’ attention.

@Vicki Small – There is no sponsorship obligation to personalize the video.
Personalize away. Send it to allll your friends and family.

Love it!! How cool is that!!!

What a great way to share with other sponsors to remind them of the impact they make when they sponsor a child.

It will be interesting to see if it brings additional sponsorships (I presume Compassion is tracking click-through sign-ups).
Here is a sampling of the responses I’ve received from those receiving this “invitation”:
“That’s awesome, Bob!”
“I’m surprised but it’s not me!”
“ha ha”
“The video is completely fabricated and a lie.”
“You are too funny. I don’t know why I thought we could keep this a secret!”
PS: It would be nice if this video didn’t autoplay each time the blog page loads… that can be annoying %)

@Bob – Thanks for sharing the comments you’ve gotten. And that autoplay is completely annoying. The minute I saw it I asked the developer to change it. Expect it will get done soon.

This is way cool Chris! I’ll send it out to others –
