Later this month, we’re launching our redesigned website.
And what that means to you is that our new navigation and content organization is more intuitively laid out. This will allow you to find what you’re looking for more easily and to complete your tasks faster.
New backend functionality allows us to place content on pages where it is most convenient for you.
Looking for information on Kenya? All content about Kenya, including blog posts, crisis updates, prayer requests, stories, etc. will be available to you from the Kenya page.
It’ll be easier for you to stay informed and to share more of what you want with your friends.
Our new design better reflects that we are a holistic child development organization.
We deal with poverty from the earliest stages of a child’s development, continuing through young adulthood. The new compassion.com gives you a clearer look and quicker access into each of our core programs.
The full promise of our site won’t be realized immediately. The moment we launch it we’ll begin working to improve it. Our new platform provides a great foundation for future flexibility to improve your online sponsorship and customer service experience; flexibility we haven’t had previously.

I caught a glimpse of the new look when I checked the Advocate section of my account a week or so ago. I thought it looked GREAT! Looking forward to checking everything out when it goes live on the entire website!

The changes on http://www.compassion.com should not be confused with the changes on http://www.ourcompassion.org which are happening about the same time but are independent changes (as far as I know).
Will the website continue to be as fast as it is right now? I’ve always appreciated how quickly the pages load throughout the Compassion site. I don’t tend to spend a lot of time on websites that don’t load quickly.
Who is designing it? In house or another firm?

Will it be possible to search for new children to sponsor by Student Centre number, rather than just country?

My wife and I have just recently become involved in the compassion sponsorship program and this is my first visit but it sounds like a great change.
I just want to compliment Chris Giovagnoni and the entire web team on their stewardship of this blog. They have done an INCREDIBLE job. To come up with great content every day. And to be named a Top 10 corporate blog. And then to constantly challenge themselves to improve. Really impressive. And I appreciate how they involve Compassion sponsors in the process. It certainly makes us sponsors realize that we’re a part of the team and we’re on this mission together. Through the blog, Compassion has helped me understand how I can be more than just a donor. I can be a partner with this ministry and I really, really appreciate that. Great job Chris G. and the web team!

You’ve written some great posts and are a fantastic source of help to me as you help answers so many questions here. And you’re not the only one. Will we be able to upload photos to go with emails to our kids? (I’m not complaining, I love the website as it is!–but would really love this feature!)
