A resounding vote for full text feed! I love reading the blog, but am occasionally deterred because I only see a line or two in my feed reader.

    Thanks!

Another perk I discovered for my own blog in using full text is that when I did partial text, google alerts wasn’t picking it up. When I switched to full, I started getting the alerts when I blogged something with one of my keywords in it. So if people are searching for ways to help impoverished children, having full text feeds makes it more likely for the blog to turn up in google’s results, and you can reach new people that way.

Ooo, yes, please switch to the full text feeds…they’re especially nice when checking my reader from a computer with a slow connection (less pages/images to load). Thank you for asking!

I don’t get the partial text-feed thing. When I sit down to read blogs, I usually only have 5 minutes or less.

The partial text thing drives me crazy because I read it, then have to click the link, then wait for the site to load….

Sounds silly, but half the time I give up waiting because I have three kids spilling things or fighting or demanding my attention in some other way.

I would be oh, so happy if I didn’t have to click the link. :)

why in the world would anyone want a partial text feed? if you don’t want to read the whole thing, then skip ahead. partial text feeds serve no purpose other than forcing people to click through to the site, which usually means i won’t read the post.

I really like full feeds better. Most of the time when a blogger switches to partial I just delete them from my reader. There’s not enough in the partial to really tell if I’m interested (unless it’s written to be that way) and it just takes a lot longer to load another page unless I specifically want to comment… and I’ll only know if I want to comment if I can read the whole post!

Could I give some other feedback? I love your blog but I think I’d read more articles if there were just 1 post per day.. or maybe 1 post every 2 days… I dunno.. there seems to be a LOT of posts.
