There’s something really exciting going on over at the ONE Campaign.
A few months ago, ONE.org started the ONE Sabbath campaign. It’s basically a collection of resources that churches and believers can use to advocate on behalf of the poor. Compassion has donated several resources to the campaign.
The newest part of the campaign, called the Sermon Challenge, is now underway. ONE.org is challenging pastors to send in their sermons about poverty. There are some great messages ranging on issues from the challenges of serving the poor … to the biblical mandate to care for the poor.
We’d like to challenge you to go to the ONE Sermon Challenge Web site and read some of these great messages. Vote for the ones you like. Challenge and encourage the writers. Or … submit your own!

Challenging pastors..?
One Sabbath does not follow the narrow road… instead it treks across open meadows where all pastures lead to God…
Be careful where YOU tread and who you follow.
Assist those in need-YES,
but be wary of those who come alongside you with a distorted message of “truth”.

@Alicia –
Alicia,
True, ONE will allow sermons from just about any religious belief on their website. All the more reason for us to inundate it with the true Gospel.
When you get a chance, go read my sermon on their page, it’s titled “You-The Miracle Worker.”

This totally rocks!
I am definatly going to go read your sermon Tim!!
Of course ONE Sabbath has to include other viewpoints and beliefs and probably believes that “all roads lead to God” but it’s worth many many pastors sending tons of sermons delivering the truth. If Christian pastors don’t step up to the plate with things that ONE Sabbath how will the word get out? You never know who is reading the sermons. Someone could be saved,someone could be made more curious about the Blessed Saviour! Some people involved in the ONE campaign would never enter a church..If Jesus were on Earth today, he’d be sending sermons to the ONE Sabbath campaign.:)
