One of my sponsored girls is learning tailoring, in Rwanda, and enjoys it. She has said nothing more specific about it, but what surprises me a little, about this story, is that there is no mention of their making clothing, either to sell or for their own families. I am delighted that they are developing a micro-business, and I expect that what they have learned about sewing can be used in whatever they choose to make.

I hope that my Rwanda daughter will also be able to make things that will sell, as well as for her family. On a presumption that she was learning to sew clothing, I am sending a pattern with fabric for one of the views, along with a lot of different sewing "notions." The pattern can be used for sizes XS, S and M; she's part of a large family, so I hope she will get a lot of use from that pattern.
