Felix likes the story of King David. Lina has learned about Creation. Abner’s favorite verse is Psalm 8:3, and Victor always lets me know that he and his family are praying for me and my family.
These are all things that my sponsored children have shared with me in their letters. It lets me know that they are indeed learning Bible lessons at their child development centers. I know that the children we support are being fed physically, and that they’re also being fed spiritually.
When you write to your sponsored children, you can encourage them by sharing your favorite Bible stories and Bible verses. Tell them about how you came through trials by putting your faith in God. Let them know about your church and why fellowship with fellow believers is important to you. Remind them that you are praying for them and their families.

How do you recommend sharing the bible with a 4 year old child in a simple way that they can comprehend it? Also what would some good bible verses be for a 4 year old?
Hi Eleanor! I find that generally for toddlers and preschoolers simple verses work well, like John 3:16, John 1:1, Psalm 147:4, or Psalm 118:24. You might also consider sharing your favorite bible story and ask your child to share theirs or maybe a bible story that you have been thinking about lately.
it is ok (and if so how ) to find out how many children and ages in the home with your sponsored children. I would like to send gifts for all. I just became a sponsor this month so I am very new at this

Regrettably, because he is not registered in our program, we do not have information on his age however, you’re welcome to ask your child this in your next letter to her! 🙂 I would encourage you to check out our letter guidelines as well as our Pinterest page for fun ideas on items you can send your child and her brother!
I have just begun to sponsor a child. I am told that he has a sibling and want to know if it is alright when I send something to my child if it is alright if I send something for his brother/sister as well?

To answer your question, because of strict customs regulations, items that you send to your child must be within the size of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and less than 1/4″ thick. You can read all about our letter and gift guidelines including sizes and what items can and cannot be sent, here. I love the ideas! Also, I just have a question: let’s pretend I sent a bookmark with a bible verse, will it get translated and if so, how? Same with letters sent from personal stationary? Thanks.
Hi Meici! Yes, our translators will translate everything you send. If you have bible verses or sayings on the bookmark, we will translate them. Also, if you were to send a greeting card, we will translate all of the words on the card (i.e. “Happy Birthday” etc.).
Can I send a gospel at a time to my child by removing it from
the NVI ? As long as it isn’t beyond the size requirments?
Hi Normalee! Yes, you can send parts of books as long as they are within 8 1/2″ by 11″ and no more than a 1/4″ thick each time.
