Summer! It’s my favorite season of the year: flip flops, long sunny days, ice cream, day trips to the beach, fresh produce.
Do you have a favorite season? Most of us do and we all have great reasons why that particular season is our favorite.
Have you asked your sponsored child what his or her favorite season is?
Last summer, my family was able to take a week-long road trip to Colorado Springs for a one-day conference at the Compassion headquarters. We were able to stop at a couple of national parks along the way.
While at the national parks, we purchased postcards and took many photographs. We included the postcards and photos with letters we wrote to our sponsored kids last summer.
Do you have any summer plans with your family? Be sure to pick up some postcards and take photos to include in your next mailing to your sponsored child.
So how about a few questions to ask your sponsored child about summer?
- What is your favorite thing to do during the summer?
- Do you go to school during the summer months?
- Is there a sport you like to play during the summer?
- What is your favorite thing to eat when it is hot outside?
Now this wouldn’t be a Pinterest post if we didn’t share a couple of our finds with you.
