Do you ever think about what the different seasons are like for your sponsored child? I wonder how cold it gets for my child, Felix, living in Mexico City. How similar or different are the seasons where he lives, compared with where I live in central Californina? And what about Lina in Colombia? While I’m experiencing spring, it’s autumn where she lives.
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” – Ecclesiastes 3:1, NIV
When you write to your sponsored child this month, here are some suggestions for questions you can ask.
- Tell me about the flowers where you live.
- What’s your favorite season? What do you like most about it?
- What do you like about spring? My friend Jill has a great blog post with questions to ask about spring.
If you have older sponsored children, this might be a great time to share with them a science lesson about how the earth rotates on its axis to give us the different seasons.
How about sending your sponsored child some sheets of origami paper with this picture tutorial?
If you haven’t guessed it by now, the theme for our Second Friday Letter Writing Club board on Pinterest this month is spring! Already a member of this board? Help us find some spring ‘pins’ that would be great items to mail to our sponsored children.
