I met some LDP students in Colombia, and they are an amazing group of people, that's for sure!

Also, speaking of sponsored kids turning the tables on us, at one of the projects in Colombia, the children prayed that the kids in Canada would have enough to eat and would be blessed by God......wow...talk about a wake-up call!

Juli, what a great post. I love the photo of the five of you. It's so encouraging to me to know that there are these bright lights scattered out around the world. It gives me hope for a better future, and a better world for children.

Tony, Michelle, Richmond and Jimmy, you are in my prayers and I'm just here to cheer you on! :)

One of the greatest parts of a Sponsor Tour is the night when LDP students come to tell their testimony and have dinner with the sponsors. This is what really made Compassion's ministry come alive for me. It showed me that God is using Compassion to make permanent changes in the lives of children. Those children go on to teach and help countless others.

The sponsor tour is when I decided I wanted to sponsor an LDP student, and am now doing so with 11 of my co-workers. I had the opportunity to meet Tony on the same night I went to the Dominican Republic to meet our LDP student, Juan David.

I have since met dozens of LDP students, and can truly say that they are some of the most amazing people I know. Thanks Julie!
