Life has not been easy in the community of Odisha because of the discrimination and exclusion the tribal and Dalit people faced from the mainstream community. They were not invited to any community events and because they were unable to find work, they resorted to begging and ragpicking for their livelihood.
The monster of poverty will not consume all. God’s mercies shield; His compassion protects. And it is compassion that drives us to act.

People weren’t meant to live in extreme poverty. And poverty isn’t something that Jesus wants us to simply understand — He wants us to feel it and to feel it deeply.
God has brought about an incredible transformation in the lives of the children, their families and this community. The children regularly attend schools. The educational standard of the children has improved. About 40 children participate in sports activities and they have received many prizes in school and higher-level competitions.
