The prayer was unconventional but rather nice! My heart was glad when I read him mention God and Jesus his Son.Our Savious mentioned at a huge political gathering was awesome! I was pleased to see him mention the orphan widow and the poor..I wonder if he knows about Compassion International!?

From the prayer, <i>"A lot of people don’t like us, but that’s because they don’t know the heart of the average American."</I>

I could make an argument for both sides...All the more reason to pray.

I can't help to think how different a prayer for our country (USA) is compared to what a prayer for the country where my sponsored child is from. We all know it, but it is always good to hear ... we are so spoiled. We don't really know what a living wage is!

Thanks for the prayer reminder today. I am someone who doesn't get into politics and such. I never have because it confuses me to easily and I don't know what to believe. But I can do something. Today you reminded me to be praying not just for us and the world around us, but for the ones who actually make the decisions for our country which effects the world.
