We gave several children in Burkina Faso disposable or digital cameras and asked them to take photos of their lives. Looking at these photos, what do you think matters most to the children who took them?

My Compassion child, Elizabeth, is from B.F. It does my heart good to see these pictures and sense the joy they feel and to think my child is probably just as happy by learning about Jesus and from receiving special care because of Compassion International.
LOVE these pics! What a great idea — to see things from the kids’ own viewpoint! Thanks so much –
I love them too Juli! Be on the lookout for more posts like this from other countries we work in. I’m going to share them over the next few months.
I am excited for these, Jacquie! I love this idea.
Thank you Justine!! Me too. The only hard part about these posts is choosing WHICH photos to use. More are coming soon though!

This is so sweet! They’re just like the pictures my kids take – what an honor to make it easier for other Moms & Dads to raise the kids they love so much!
What a neat idea! It’s so fun to see photos from the kids’ point of view…to see what is important to them. Family and friends seem to be a repeated theme!! Thank you so much for sharing these precious photos!
What beautiful pictures! These children were able to capture such unique nuances of life in their village. I feel like I took a walk through a Burkina Faso neighborhood this morning!
These photos are so precious! I love it. Thanks so much for passing them along to us.
LOVE this! Great idea, and thank you for sharing!
Love it! Especially the last one!
This is so great!
Their family of course! It’s so sad to see them with their family, which is all they gave, when a lot of times we take advantage of what we have.
Family, friends, and security, What a blessing that Compassion can help to bring security into the lives of the beneficiaries, their families, communities and friends. Their smiles say it all!

What a wonderful idea! Seeing the photos taken by the children totally made my day and makes me feel closer to the work of those on site. Love to you all and may God continue to bless your work and fill you all with joy!
My two children Junedine Hussan Mohamed and Leandro Jose Padilla Bojorge from Ethiopia and Nicaragua have given me so much more purpose in life. I run a Montessori School and I collect the proceeds to help children like these. This is why I wake up everyday to go on doing what I do to help those in need. God bless you all for your love and support. Lydia
Wow!! I absolutely adore all of these pictures!
