I Command You to be Openhanded Towards the Poor

Last month, Wess visited Australia and we grabbed him for a chat about why he is sold on child sponsorship as a way to help children, and what the Bible tells us about poverty.

There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land. — Deuteronomy 15:11 (NIV)

    Dear Papa Wess,
Thank you for sharing this message. I am at North Western Ministry Conference in Seattle Washington to speak tomorrow as a witness of a child released from Poverty in Jesus name. My words will mirror what you said: yes we had to drink warm water to cheat the stomach it was food. But right in the middle of that desperation someone responded to that great command from God and here I am today, speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves. Thank you for Sharing Papa,
Your son in Moody Bible Institute,
    Jimmy Wambua
