What is Forgiveness?

Once a victim of horrendous sexual, physical and emotional abuse, Sylane Mack shares with passion, vulnerability, and some specifics about being victimized by her family and being raped by a stranger at age 12.

Her story is a mirror reflecting Christ’s suffering and His redeeming work and forgiveness in our lives. Jesus’ unfailing love has renewed and healed Sylane’s mind and spirit allowing her to forgive, live and love with a passion and joy that only comes from our Savior.

If you are a victim of abuse and still need healing, you may react strongly to Sylane’s story. It’s as ugly, beautiful and miraculous a story as you’re ever likely to hear. But remember: No matter what, love conquers ALL!

what is forgiveness

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” – Genesis 50:20

Since the mid-1970’s Sylane has shared her testimony of forgiveness with thousands of people in various venues. In 2003 she founded Transformed by Grace, a counseling and conference speaking ministry, where she serves as president, lead counselor and principal speaker.

Her book, Convinced!, is “God’s transforming love story written in her life” through which she intimately and courageously shares the raw truth of her pain and the power of God’s unfailing love, healing and hope in her life.

    Hello,
My name is Cindy Fallt. I am the intake administrator and contract coordinator for Transformed By Grace Ministries, Inc. (TBG) Sylane Mack, president of TBG who is the speaker at the above Compassion International event, is speaking tomorrow 10/16/2021 at the SHE Leads conference in Ewing, NJ. We previously had access to the above You Tube video and had it on our website. We wanted to be able to have attendees at the conference tomorrow have the ability to see Sylane speaking at Compassion. If possible, we would like to be able to continue to have access to this video on our website in the future. Thank you so much for your help in this matter, Cindy Fallt

It took a long, long time for me to reach the point of being able to say, even, “I’m willing to forgive, by faith, with God’s help.” Now, I can give witness to the reality of real triumph over the wrong done to me by a man who probably never gave a single thought to how I would be harmed; it was a very selfish act. But–and I really don’t like admitting this–much as I suspect God hates crimes committed against children, I have hurt other people in my own ways. We all do. I am as broken as that man was. Christ suffered so terribly in order to offer forgiveness to me, so I forgive that man. I’ve never been so free!

David, that was wonderfully written. Forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves when given with a loving heart. I will share your thougths with my girlfriend.

Thanks Kirk. Sounds like you thought it would be good to share with close relationships. I hope it was a great conversation with your girlfriend. Blessings to you.

Thank You Sylane for living out, in the flesh, how forgiveness really works. It doesn’t mean all the horrible things were ok, it doesn’t condone, it doesn’t even always mean reconciliation (in this lifetime), it means freedom! Yes, I am CONVINCED that NOTHING can seperate us from the love of God. God Bless.
