Compassion does work in the Philippines. They work through local churches. Compassion is a child development organization and when children get sponsored into the program, they are under 10 years old and they would register then this church would register them into this program that the church runs with the help of Compassion. So, it would be primarily through the local church and then it would be for little children. I assume you are much older than 10 years old, given the fact that you're studying mass communications. If not, you're first of all very smart and then your mom or dad might try to get in touch with the main office of Compassion, probably in Manilla and see if there is a church that they partner with in your area and then the church can register a child.
