Why do you say “God bless you” when someone sneezes? Why do you open the door for others? Why do you do what you do, and how do you explain the whys to others in your life?

I sponsor a child because God has given me the resources to do so and because the Holy Spirit urges my soul to love others in a way that I wouldn’t do on my own. I have sponsored my child for 5 years now. She and her family are my family that live in another country. God is so big and as my Christian family grows, it seems to make the world a smaller place.
I was at a MercyMe and friends concert and during one of the breaks a Compassion person went onstage an started talking about it. I had always heard about it and had wanted to, but I don’t have a job and I know my mom cannot afford it so I just ignored it, but when they were talking about it at the concert I just felt God screaming in my ear “DO IT!!!” So I asked for some info and they gave me a sponsor card and me and my friend were looking at it and we realized that the girl on the card had the same birth day as my friend (different year) and I realized right then that it was a sign from God. So I said “We are doing this” So my mom paid for the first installment because she could tell that I was serious. and everytime since then I haven’t had a hard time getting the money together, because the Lord really does provide.
I am compelled by the love Christ has shown me. It’s not a duty or obligation but out of an overflowing of what Christ has done and is doing in my life – thankfulness.
