Compassion Alumni Maina and Wanjiru

We have heard many stories from the Compassion Alumni who have gone on to do great things in their communities. These young men and women are inspiring examples of the impact that Compassion’s program can have on the life of a child.

As our Alumni scholarship initiative comes to an end, we celebrate our final two scholarship recipients, Daniel Njenga Maina and Anthony Njoroge Wanjiru. Each graduate shares about the ways that God has impacted their lives through Compassion’s ministry.

Curious to hear why the alumni scholarship initiative is ending. Is this the same as the Leadership Development program?

Hi Stacey! The alumni scholarship initiative mentioned in this post is different than the Leadership Development Program. It is for graduates of the Leadership Development Program who have been selected to further their education at the Masters level. However, you may have heard that we are currently working on rebuilding the Leadership Development Program to help to better serve our young leaders currently in this program and reach more students in the future. Neither program is really going away though.
