Don’t Hide Special Needs Children From the World

Erick is a very special child who enjoys participating in every activity at the San Pablo Apostol Student Center. There are some things he can do and others that are more complicated for him, but nothing keeps him from trying.

I just took on my second sponsored child today–another special needs child from Ecuador. He had been waiting 356 days for a sponsor and although I had not planned to sponsor TWO children, the Lord would not allow me to forget about this child. His challenges are the same (although less severe) than my own son’s, and as a thank offering to the Lord for giving us our Robbie, I just had to help little Jhonny with his needs. What a blessing from God these special children are! Loved seeing Erick and his mother and teachers in this video. May God bless them all.

Special needs children are apart of God as much as anyone else God has chosen to come to Him. It is often and sadly a lack of understanding and compassion that causes others to judge children like Erick. If we can look at his heart and what qualities he has been given, we can probably find a beautiful person.

    Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you for brightening our day with joyful Erick. I’m curious as to whether he is sponsored?

You go Erick! You are awesome! God has blessed you with so many wonderful qualities and it’s clear that you are a blessing to your family and community.

Thanks Compassion for sharing Erick’s story.
