The Door to Deliverance

Is there any sin that is interfering with your communion with the Lord? Are you dealing with any issue in your life that is hindering your growth as a child of God?

In this journey of sanctification, we all deal with our unique “sin struggles,” whatever they might be. For some, they could be lying, gossiping, laziness, hypocrisy, envy, strife; for others, they could be stealing, pride, lust or deception.

What is that sin that is still hampering your growth and true fellowship with God? What is that sin that you are still hiding? What is the temptation that you are still struggling with?

Certainly, there is only one door to deliverance. It is the same door used by King David. REPENTANCE!

The moment we recognize our sin as such, truly repent before God and turn our lives over to Him, we will surely experience the most refreshing and peaceful time in our lives. The burden of our sin will be taken away by the beauty of God’s grace.

As the psalmist writes, “He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him” (Psalm 103:10–12, NASB).

Jesus has already paid the price for our sins in such an amazing way. That should motivate us to leave sin behind us and persevere in Christ Jesus. So, let us turn our lives over in obedience and service to Him!

Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the LORD.” Nathan replied, ‘The LORD has taken away your sin. You are not going to die.” —2 Samuel 12:13

Prayer: Father God, we ask humbly that You forgive us of our sins. We repent before You and ask You to heal and restore our lives. Help us turn our lives toward You and continue to love and serve You faithfully, in Jesus’ name.

Trouble, challenges, pain, suffering, grief, transition, change and renewal come to us all. Some seasons of life are more enjoyable than others. Thank you for being a source of light, encouragement and comfort to humanity when they are suffering, grieving and transitioning. I pray God Almighty supernaturally brings deliverance to all of us in our area and place of need to lift us up to where we belong to live freely and happily to glorify Him daily. ~ Paul
