Tanzania: A Picture of Hope

Following the blogger trip to Tanzania I noticed a theme of hope repeated throughout the week. This got me to thinking and I wondered,

“What if each nation in this world was meant to reflect one particular attribute of God?”

Like Tanzania. What if God wanted the people of Tanzania to reflect His hope?

What if, woven into the story of the people of Tanzania, was a Father’s calling to show the hope of His son to the rest of the world?

What would that look like? Personally, I think it would look a little like this…

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Romans 15:13, NIV

Hi, Can you tell me if the girl in the black dress is named Rosana? I just sponsored a little girl in Tanzania that has a strong resemblence, but not sure because she isn’t smiling in her profile picture. Thanks.

Hi Beth! The team didn’t get her name of the little girl in the black dress so I can’t confirm if that is Rosana or not. Sorry about that! 🙁

Okay, Jacquie. I really appreciate you looking into it for me 🙂 Looking at what projects they visited according to their blogs, I’m thinking it probably isn’t her. But, in my mind, it will always be 🙂 God bless you!

No problem! I would feel the same if I were you. I hope some day you get to go to Tanzania and meet Rosana in person. 🙂 🙂

the children in those pictures are beautiful. I wonder, if each nation does reflect an attribute of God, what attribute does the United States reflect?

  4. Nisha May 15, 2012

    These kids are so cute!

I would say that the attribute of God that Rwanda reflects very well is forgiveness.

    1. Jacquie Parella May 14, 2012

I agree 100%! My first ministry trip was to Rwanda. I love that country!

  7. Nicole May 14, 2012
