We don’t know what she was praying for in the moment the photo was taken, but if she’s anything like us, it might’ve been for the photographer to hurry up and take the picture. 🙂

Jesus I ask that you give us as Sponsors and the children we sponsor the courage to stand like Shammah did in II Samuel 23: 11-12
“Next to [Eleazar] was Shammah son of Agee the Hararite. The Philistines were gathered at Lehi on a piece of ground full of lentils; and the [Israelites] fled from the Philistines.
But he stood in the midst of the ground and defended it and slew the Philistines; and the Lord wrought a great victory.”

I pray for my family and all the sponsors… that we will be more active in sponsoring these children (write to them more often, pray for them more) and that we will strive to live a life worthy of the blessings that God has given us… so that when we meet him face to face we will be like that faithful servant who put the money to good use and gained much more for the Owner.
Father I lift up Hickma, Linda, Gladys, Ian and Kennedy to you, that thay are able to know you and lead others to Jesus. I also lift up Miriam and David and Geovonny. I pray for their health and safety. That they do not strayed far from you. We also pray that the children with out sponsors will not have to wait very long.
Father you know what else is spoken on my heart for these children. It is the same one that has been there since I was 7 or so.

I pray for Gabriel–my sponsored child’s–health after his recent bout with typhus and bronchitis. I pray for his family and all those who are involved in Gabriel’s life, including teacher(s) and child development center workers, that they will continue to work in the best interest of all the children they encounter.
Father, I pray for our dear Fantaye and for the doctors and the Compassion Workers who are trying to help her to get well. Please, will you ease her pain and help her to see your goodness, even in the midst of this hard time. Thank you for the help being given to her in your name by the faithful project workers.

Lord, I pray for Project Directors and Workers around the world. Give them wisdom, patience and love for ministering to these little ones. Help them to rest in You and not try to do the work in their own strength. Help them to join You in the mighty outpouring of Your love into all these precious lives.
I pray for people around the world who have little food and water. I pray that God would use us to help them more and that we are always reminded they are there. I pray that in a time of giving we are reminded to be more like Christ to everyone we meet. And I pray for safe travel for all those traveling during the Thanksgiving holiday.
