Speaking with One Voice

The familiar story from Genesis 11:1–7 about the Tower of Babel is filled with some amazing truths:

So what is our challenge? Can we commit to work and speak together with one voice? Is our motivation to glorify the Lord and not bring recognition and glory to ourselves?

Can we assume the best of one another’s intentions, seek ways to honor each other, and appreciate the differences each culture brings?

If we can do this, and do it for His glory, then nothing we set our minds to will be impossible. Think about the kingdom impact that will make!

The LORD said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other.” —Genesis 11:6–7, NIV

Prayer: Lord, please help us do all things to glorify You and not ourselves. Remind us daily that our service is for the greater impact of the ministry and for Your kingdom. Amen.
