Share the Bible with Your Sponsored Children

worn Bible on wooden shelf

Felix likes the story of King David. Lina has learned about Creation. Abner’s favorite verse is Psalm 8:3, and Victor always lets me know that he and his family are praying for me and my family.

These are all things that my sponsored children have shared with me in their letters. It lets me know that they are indeed learning Bible lessons at their child development centers. I know that the children we support are being fed physically, and that they’re also being fed spiritually.

When you write to your sponsored children, you can encourage them by sharing your favorite Bible stories and Bible verses. Tell them about how you came through trials by putting your faith in God. Let them know about your church and why fellowship with fellow believers is important to you. Remind them that you are praying for them and their families.

For this month, on our Second Friday Letter Writing Club Board on Pinterest, we would love for you to help us find Bible-related pins that would make great items to send to our sponsored children.

Here are a couple of great printable verses we’ve already pinned.

Remind the child you sponsor that they are not forgotten by you or by God with this chalkboard printout of Jeremiah 29:11 from stonegableblog.com.

Tell them they are loved by you and by God with this printable of John 3:16 from frugalandfocused.com.

Here are a couple of resources and ideas to get you started!

But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose.” – Luke 4:43 (ESV)
