My husband and I got the same message from God, but it still seemed like I stopped breathing when I heard my husband say that we would move to Manado from east of Borneo.
I prepared an application letter for my husband to take to a big hotel in Manado. On the way to the hotel, he saw a sign for Compassion. He stopped, walked in, and gave my application letter to the receptionist.
He only knew that Compassion is an NGO, no more. Praise the Lord that God has provided a job for me in Compassion East Indonesia!
It is not a job only, but He provided a place for me to grow up in faith and gave us a new big family.
As I write this, I’ve been working with Compassion for two years and three months. With my Compassion family, I can celebrate my daughter’s progress and cry when she is sick. She is a precious gift from my heavenly Father to us. Compassion has become family not just for me, but for my daughter and my husband.
My daughter won’t miss her daily routine picking me up from the office. She arrives a few minutes before 5 p.m. and walks around to greet people. She has been like an alarm for us, telling the office that the day has ended. Compassion has become a second home for her.
Our heavenly Father really knows our needs. He was working for us two years ago, before we even knew it!
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. —Hebrews 11:1
Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for the new family You have given to me and my family. Please bless my friends at Compassion and their families. Amen.
