With their mind, body and soul needs met, these children are now empowered to leave poverty behind.
Agricultural support for 29K+ households.
291K+ critical medical interventions.
140K+ Bibles.
Food packs for 400K+ children and families.
Clean water for 93K+ children.
786K birthday gifts.
… and so much more!
The People Behind the Numbers
We didn’t make the above impact alone. Around 1.1 million supporters and more than 8,800 local church partners came together to care for these children living in poverty. We shout a huge “thank you” to those who have made serving the least of these possible this year:
- Local church partners: Compassion works exclusively through churches in impoverished communities across the globe. This year, we were able to open more than 410 new Compassion centers through the help of new church partners!
- Supporters: Around 1.1 million supporters, including child sponsors, came together to share the gospel in action with children in need. Our supporters provide life-giving care and encouragement to children, inspiring them to see beyond poverty.
- Program volunteers: Each Compassion center has many program volunteers who know, love and protect the children we serve. They lovingly teach and disciple children, helping them grow.
- Compassion alumni: Sponsored children who graduate from the Compassion program often pay it forward, giving their time to help other children overcome poverty. These alumni are a critical example of hope, and we celebrate their choice to give back.
- Artists: For 37 years, our artist ambassadors have shared our mission with millions of potential supporters at their events. Through their support, they’ve helped bring hope to countless children’s lives.
Celebrating Reduction in Poverty in 5 Key Areas
Through your support, we can now celebrate a reduction in poverty in several areas we serve!
Parts of Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Thailand have seen poverty levels reduce.
Now, we’re able to move into other regions where poverty is more severe and the need greater.

A Single Cow Inspired Davis to Dream of a Brighter Future
Davis from Kenya was abandoned by his father as a child. Many nights, Davis and his siblings went to bed hungry. And while Davis worked hard, the money he received was never enough.
After being registered into the Compassion program, Davis’ sponsor sent him the gift of a cow. Davis sold the milk from the cow, using the money to provide for his family.
By experiencing the gospel in action, Davis became a dedicated follower of Jesus. And with his physical needs met, Davis can now achieve his dream of becoming a successful dairy farmer, helping others in his community.
Frizky Planted Seeds of Hope From Disappointment
Frizky from Indonesia was abandoned by his parents. Without the safety and stability of strong family roots, Frizky felt unsure about himself and his future. His grandparents took him in but struggled to afford an education or nutritious food for him. Hope dwindled for young Frizky.
After he was registered in the Compassion program, Frizky gained the family he desired. Over time, Frizky overcame his insecurities and grew into a confident young man with the love of Jesus in his heart.
Frizky attended university to study agriculture, where he learned about hydroponics. He used his knowledge to build a hydroponic garden at his Compassion center. Now the center sells the produce grown in the local community, providing food and hope for many.
Frizky found his roots in Christ and his Compassion community. As a result, he’s changing the future by planting new seeds.
