I am from Nicaragua and I just feel touched with all of this.
I can only say thanks in name of all Nicaragua…
It has been impossible for me to open the “Beneath My Heart” website this week. I think there are too many ads on it. I can’t even get into the section to subscribe by email. Hope the posts will be archived so I will be able to read them another time. Other than that I LOVE to read what the bloggers have to say each day. So many connections to my experiences with Compassion in Peru where we sponsor and correspond with children.
I’ll be sure to pass this info on to Traci. And yes, you’ll be able to link to the posts from this trip in the future. You can go to the Compassion Bloggers site or the Compassion Blog trip page.
I sponsor a child in Nicaragua! His name is Jose Castillo Reyes, and he’s 9 and is in the Soldados del Rey Student Center near/in La Paz Centro. Center #222, I think. If you stop by there, and remember, give him (and all the rest of the kids) a big hug from Brandi! Have a safe and wonderful trip, guys!
Thank you Brandi! The itinerary doesn’t show them stopping at this center. But if anything changes at all, I will definitely let you know!
My husband is from Ticuantepe, Nicaragua and I have traveled to El Crucero, Chinandega and several other places on my visits there. All my in-laws still live there, Nicaragua is a beautiful country full of wonder people and such poverty. I will be following your trip! Muchos bendiciones!
Instagram! Many of these bloggers have Instagram accounts, so don’t forget to follow them there too 🙂
