On March 15, 2017, we must end our sponsorship program in the country of India after many years of serving children in extreme poverty.
What will happen to the children and families in India?
The ministry of the churches we partnered with will continue as long as believers in the country are faithful to God’s call to take care of the poor. The creativity, might and passion of the churches, children and families impacted will live on. The work that has been done and the love that has been given will not be forgotten.
Come with us as we look back on the years of our work there.
We continue to pray for all those who are committed to releasing children from poverty in Jesus’ name in India and around the world.

I just noticed that my sponsored child’s (in India) information has been completely removed from my sponsorship page on Compassion’s website. I realize that he can no longer receive my support, but I was dismayed to find that copies of the letters we’ve written back and forth have also been removed. Was that necessary, or can those letters from departed children be left on your website (our sponsorship page) for us to enjoy?

Hi Susan! I am so sorry that those letters are no longer available on your account. There is no way to leave the letters on the online site just because our system will not allow us to do this. However, we would be happy to send you any of the letters that we have since we changed our system in May of 2016, where we began keeping a copy. Would you like me to do this for you?
